Christmas donation to spread joy in care homes!

In December, we supported the inspiring initiative Christmas Kindness.

This community group crowdfunded Christmas gifts for care home residents who has no family and the member of staff working so hard to keep their loved ones safe. They spent weeks gathering donations and distributing gifts across dozens of care homes in their borough.

After speaking to Sam Lord, who is behind the initiative, we knew immediately that we wanted to contribute and donate Jelly Drops! She told us that already during the first lockdown she started a community group of sewing enthusiasts who came together to create face coverings and scrubs distributed to frontline key workers. The group quickly grew to 1.5k members (!) and as the Covid numbers were still rising in the run-up to Christmas, they decided to redirect their focus - the idea of Christmas Kindness was born.

We hope that by sharing their story, we can spread some positivity in this challenging time. Stay safe and take care of one another.
